Before starting Copysonic, I spent years as a Senior Technical Engineer at Xerox, working hands-on with the machines and systems that shaped the industry. It gave me a strong technical understanding, but also a clear sense of how I wanted to do things differently. 

In 1992, my wife Voula and I opened a small workshop in Huntingdale with a simple goal: to build a trusted office printer business where technical expertise and personal service came first. More than 30 years on, that same approach is still at the centre of how we work.

Some of our clients have been with us since the beginning, and I think that’s because we take the time to understand each client, how their business operates, and what they actually need from their print setup. 

That’s what sets Copysonic apart. You’re not dealing with a faceless corporation or a rotating call centre. You’re dealing with people who know you and your business, have hands-on technical expertise, and are here when you need support. I still go out to help clients myself when needed. How many Managing Directors get to do that?

When I’m not onsite or at the office, I travel, follow sports, and spend time with my family.

Name: Paul Tsagliotis

Job title: Service Manager

I started in the printer industry more than twenty-five years ago through a friend’s referral and a traineeship. My first role was with Toshiba, where I spent eight years building the technical foundation I still draw on today. It’s an industry that never stands still, with new advances all the time. I think the need to keep upskilling is one of the reasons I’ve stayed in it for so long.

As Service Manager at Copysonic, I’m involved from the first conversation through to audit, quote, installation, setup, and ongoing servicing. After more than 15,000 printer installs and repairs, I know good service starts with understanding how your workplace actually uses its equipment. My focus is simple: recommend the right machine, the right setup, and the right level of support for your team. That way, you get a solution that works from day one and keeps supporting your business as it grows.

When I’m not working on printers, I put my mechanical instincts to good use on cars. I also follow soccer, travel when I can, and enjoy spending quality time with my family.

Name: Voula pepes

Job title: Accounts manager

I’ve been part of Copysonic for over 34 years, since starting the business alongside my husband, Lambros. Right from the very beginning, we wanted to be that local supplier people could count on, with familiar faces and honest, genuine advice.

Over the years, we’ve watched Copysonic grow organically through the trust of our clients and the support of our team. These are people we’ve known for a very long time, some for almost as long as the business has been around. 

That has always been my favourite part of my role. I like that account management means making sure people feel looked after. When you’ve worked with clients for as long as we have, you get to know them and their business really well. It’s how we’re able to recommend the printing solutions that will be the right fit and keep everything running smoothly.

When I’m not working, I love doing Pilates, going for long walks, and socialising with friends.

Name: Din Kusdiana

Job title: Service Technician

Before printers, I started with steady work on a factory assembly line. It wasn’t until I completed my diploma in electronic engineering and later a postgraduate qualification in robotic technology that I applied for a role as a printer technician. That was 39 years ago, and the decision ended up shaping the rest of my career. 

I’ve spent most of that time professionally repairing and refurbishing household names like Toshiba, Sharp, and Kyocera. Along the way, I’ve worked on machines in offices, warehouses, and workshops all over Melbourne. What I’ve always valued about this work is the variety. Every job brings a different problem to solve, whether that’s out in the field or working things out with a client over the phone.

As a service technician at Copysonic, I approach each repair a little like detective work: gather the information, investigate properly, and rule things out one by one. The answer is usually there if you take the time to look for it, rather than jump to conclusions. 

When I’m not on the job, I enjoy playing and watching golf, spending time with my granddaughter, and catching up with old friends.

Name: Rebecca Ellix

Job title: Administration

I’ve been working at Copysonic for over 10 years now. It was actually my first job, and I was lucky enough to find a supportive team and a business I wanted to grow with.

My role is mostly focused on admin and helping with the enquiries that come through, whether that’s for Toshiba, Kyocera, Xerox, or anything else our clients need help with. A lot of my day is spent on the phone, and one of the best parts is having a good yarn with our long-time customers.

Behind the scenes, there’s a lot happening between the first call and the job being booked in. I make sure the right information gets to the right people, from passing details on to technicians to keeping clients updated on what happens next. I enjoy being that friendly point of contact who helps keep things on track.

Outside of work, I love going out with friends, travelling, gaming, or doing arts and crafts.
